Joseph Schnaier or Joe Schnaier is an alumnus of Stanford University. He took up his juris doctorate in the law school of Yale where he earned most of his knowledge and experience that helped him a lot in successfully pulling off his plans for the environment and pushing for laws and decrees that are all aimed at its protection. As a graduate of law and as an environmentalist at the same time, he was able to lead the way to certain regulatory reforms that caused the creation of financial incentives for energy efficiency. He had also been a proactive public servant before he decided to be one of the members of the Edison International Team, where he served as chief executive officer for 18 years and left his green advocacy for a short period of time. The good thing was, his retirement from the school allowed him to earn about $11 million, an amount that was more than enough for him to establish and initially fund the organization of his dreams—the Natural Resources Defense Council.
